INTERIOR DESIGN
As a born and raised Ohioan, MacKenna pursued her degree in interior design at Ohio State University. Upon graduation, she packed her many bags to move down south to gain valuable experience working with major architecture firms in healthcare, hospitality, and corporate office design before deciding to launch her own firm back home in Columbus. She has a deep appreciation for rich colors, diverse textures, and the power of telling stories through interior spaces. With her extensive background and distinct vision, each project she undertakes reflects her belief that well-designed interiors are more than just a beautiful space - they are functional, timeless and will withstand the lifetime of memories made within them.
MacKenna's design process often begins with an in-depth exploration of her client's needs and personality. This ensures that every design choice—from color selections to furniture picks—aligns with their narrative and core values. Her passion for mixing antiques with luxury modern finishes infuses her work with a traditional charm, creating warm and inviting spaces while retaining an air of sophistication.
UPHOLSTERY
MacKenna lives in Upper Arlington with her husband Kollin and dog Chief, spending weekends cheering on Ohio State Wrestling and building and upholstering custom made furniture pieces. What began as an interest in flipping furniture as a fun side source of income, turned into a love for building custom furniture for their home. MacKenna’s background in custom builds for commercial work translated seamlessly into the design of furniture, and her husband loves any excuse to pull out the miter saw and take a trip to Home Depot. With her access to top textile manufacturers, MacKenna taught herself how to sew and upholster, opening up an endless range of pieces to create.
While headboards, footstools and benches are the most frequently sold from her shop, she is always looking to create something new. So if you are looking for something uniquely custom that can’t be found in store - please reach out! We would love to hear more about your vision and how we can help bring it to life.
